15 injured in Pakundia BCL fraction clash

At least 15 persons were injured in a a clash between two groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) over the giving of flowers on Jail Killing Day in Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj on Thursday.
Several leaders and workers of both sides were injured in the clash which lasted for an one hour.
Additional Police Super (Crime & Ops) Mohammad Nure Alam confirmed that the situation is under the control. The members of the new committee of Pakundia’s Upazila Chhatra League under the leadership of Nazmul Alam, the president of the new committee of the Upazila Chhatra League, gathered to lay flowers on the mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Jail killing day on Thursday.
At that time, when the deportees chased them, a clash took place. Later, members of Awami League and Jubo League also joined the clash and chased members of the new committee of Chhatra League. During the chase, 15 leaders and activists of both sides were injured.
