Five Jamaat men arrested from Jatrabari

Jatrabari Police Station of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested five leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and recovered with various books and leaflets.
The arrested persons are Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Metropolitan Shura Member and Jatrabari Thana Amir Md Shahjahan Khan, Metropolitan Shura Member and Jatrabari Thana Secretary Alauddin Al Azad, Thana Working Council Member and 62 South Ward President Md Mosharf Hossain, 62 South Ward Baitul Mal Secretary Md. Delwar Hossain and 65 Ward Autorickshaw Workers Unit President Md. Abdur Rahman Farayezi.
At that time, a large number of books and leaflets of Jamaat-e-Islam were recovered from their custody.
Officer-in-Charge of Jatrabari police station Md. Mazharul Islam told The New Nation that on Monday evening, based on secret information, it was known that several leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islam secretly met for the purpose of conducting their monthly party meeting on the ground floor of Rahmatpur Emon House, Konapara . On the basis of such news, Inspector of Police (Operation) Zakir Hossain of Jatrabari Police Station arrived at the scene along with accompanying officers and forces and arrested five leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islam.
Those arrested in the case registered with the Jatrabari police station have been sent to the court.
