Bangladesh Under-15 Women’s Football team made an auspicious start in the SAFF Under-15 Women’s Championship defeating Bhutan Under-15 Women’s Football team by eight goals to nil in their inaugural match at the Bir Shershtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur on Tuesday.
Umehla Marma put her team ahead by a left-footer in the seventh minute of the play.
Thuinuye Marma doubled the margin by a forceful shot in the 22nd minute of the match.
After three minutes, Joynob Bibi Rita made it 3-0 by a power-packed long-range shot.
Kanon Rani Bahadur increased the margin (4-0) by long-range shot in the 50th minute of the game.
Substitute Sauravi Akanda Prity made it 5-0 in the 69th minute of the clash.
After four minutes, Sauravi increased the tally into 6-0.
Umhela Marma scored her second goal in the 75th minute of the game.
Sauravi fulfilled her hat-trick and sealed the fate of the match (8-0) by a left-footer at the dying moment.
Bangladesh Under-15 Women’s Football team will face Nepal Under-15 Women’s Football team in their second match on November 5 at the same venue.
