KUK Silver Pen Awards distributed in Mymensingh

The Khwaja Usman Khan (KUK.) Silver Pen Awards-2019 and 2021 were distributed among the personalities in different fields including journalism; research, science and technology; arts, education, language, literature, and social service at Shahid Shahab Uddin Conference Room of Mymensingh City Corporation on Sunday.
The President of the Electoral Committee Prof. Engr.Mohammad Ali Zinnah, former Superintendent ( Retd.) of Government Textile Vocational Institute presided over the ceremony.
Advocate Md. Zahirul Haque Khuka, District AL President, Mymensingh and former administrator of Mymensingh Zila Parishad was present as a Chief Guest and inaugurated the ceremony organised by the Electoral Committee for the Birangana Sakhina (BS) Silver Pen Award, Creative Association and ACECC Association of Gouripur upazila. Agriculture and Cooperative Affairs District AL Secretary Principal AKM Abdur Rafique, Adv. Nazrul Islam Chunnu, President, Manbadikar Jot, Samima Khanam, Panel Mayor of Mymensingh City Corporation, Lion Dr. Md. Sirazul Islam, founder of Shumbuganj GKP College gave valuable speech as special guests. In welcome speech Founder and General Secretary Mohammad Raihan Uddin Sarker gave an account of purpose and the background of the ceremony.
The function was conducted by Md Sadekul Islam Sadek. Jahirul Islam Liton and Marzia Sultana Hasi. The ceremony turned into focusing the History of romantic hero Khwaja Usman Khan Lohani and realized by prominent persons.
Those who received awards are Ataul Karim Khokan, Mymensingh Bauru Chief of Daily Jugantor and also former General Secretary of Mymensingh Press Club, Md. Shahjahan, Editor of Daily Swajan, Mymensingh, A.S.M Hossain Shahid, Mymensingh Bauru Chief of Jamuna Television, M Mukhlechur Rahman Khan, General Secretary of Netrakona Press Club and Editor of Daily Jananetra in the field of journalism;
Dr. Md Abdul Malek, Director, Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA), Mymensingh, Jahangir Alam Jahan, a researcher and writer from Kishoreganj district in the field of research, science and technology, Shahidullah Farayzi, country’s prominent lyricist, Poet Fatema Israt Rekha , a known person in the literature pages of many journals, Prof. Nani Gopal Sarkar, a writer and poet of Netrakona district, Afendi Nurul Islam, a writer of Nandail Uapazila; Sattayjit Biswas , a comic dramatist, writer and a known person in the literature pages of many journals, Nazma Mumtaz, a writer and poet of Mymensingh district, Hazera Begum, a poet of Sylhet district in the field of arts, education, language, literature.
Md. Fazlul Huq , a writer and social worker, Dato’ Abdul Rouf Liton, a social worker from Tangail district for contributions in the field of social service in greater district areas .
