Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe by one run in their Group-2 match of the ‘Super Twelve’ phase of the ICC T20 World Cup at Perth Stadium in Australia on Thursday.
Electing to bat first, Zimbabwe made a fighting total of 130 for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and then restricted Pakistan to 129 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.
Sean Williams of Zimbabwe notched up a respectable 31. He struck three fours in his 28-ball innings.
Craig Ervine, Brad Evans, Wessly Madhevere, and Ryan Burl added 19,19, 17 and 10 runs respectively to the Zimbabwe total.
Sikandar Raza grabbed three wickets instead of 25 runs, while Brad Evans bagged two wickets for 25 runs. Raza was adjudged the Man of the Match.
Mohammad Wasim claimed four wickets in the space of 24 runs, while Shadab Khan grabbed three wickets at the cost of 23 runs.
