Following a writ petition the High Court bench of Justice Md

A petition was filed on behalf of the central bank governor seeking stay on the High Court order on October 24. After hearing on the petition the chamber judge passed order on Tuesday.

Bangladesh Bank issued a circular on May 10 this year for recruiting Assistant Directors. It was said in the circular that the maximum age limit of the candidates has to be 30 years by May 10 in 2022.
However, on September 22, the Ministry of Public Administration granted 39 months relaxation in the age limit of government job aspirants. Authorities have been asked to fix the maximum age limit by March 25, 2020 in the notifications those will be published till June 30, 2023.
The notification of the Bangladesh Bank was not issued by relaxing the age limit fixed by the Ministry of Public Administration. Due to this, many job aspirants are deprived of applying the position. In this circumstance a deprived job aspirant, Mirza Rakibul Hasan, applied to the Bangladesh Bank Authority and the Ministry of Public Administration to re-issue the circular with age relaxation.
Finally Mirza Rakibul Hasan filed a writ petition with the HC on October 12 challenging the BB circular as the authorities didn’t take any action according to his application.
