Farzana Chumki plays Emil’s mother in TV series ‘Emil O Goenda Bahini’

Noted filmmaker late Badal Rahman directed popular children movie ‘Emiler Goenda Bahini’ was released on August 29 in 1980. During that time, this movie got huge popularity among the children and film-lovers. Director Badal Rahman also produced the movie. With the story of that movie, this time Kaushik Shankar Das is making a 30-episode television serial titled ‘Emil O Goenda Bahini.’ Celebrated
TV actress Farzana Chumki is playing
the role of Emil in the TV serial.
While talking about playing the role of Emil in serial ‘Emil O Goenda Bahini,’ Farzana Chumki told this correspondent,
“I have already taken part in the shooting of the serial. I am playing the character of Emil’s mother in the serial. Earlier, I watched the movie ‘Emiler Goenda Bihini.’ As this TV serial is being made from the movie ‘Emiler Goenda Bahini,’ so I have understood story of the serial properly because
I previously watched this movie. Therefore, for the first time, am acting
under the direction of Kaushik Shankar Das. I really enjoyed a lot working under his direction. All the actors, who are acting in the serial, are acting really well. As shooting was done travelling by a train, so I enjoyed a lot its shooting. Now I am very much eager to watch the serial on the TV screen.”
Based on the story written by German writer, poet and screenwriter Erich Kastner’s novel titled ‘Emil and the Detectives,’ Monsurur Rahman Chanchal has scripted the drama series, ‘Emil O Goenda Bahini.’
Meanwhile, Farzana Chumki is now
trying to act in television dramas regularly. Farzana Chumki starrer two mega serials titled ‘Gulshan Avenue Season-2,’ directed by Nima Rahman, and ‘Smritir Alponai Anki,’ directed by Murad Parvez, which are being aired on Banglavision and ATN Bangla respectively now. If Chunki gets time, she acts in theatre plays also.
