Youth delegation to visit India

Some 100 talented young women from various fields of Bangladesh are going to India as members of the Bangladesh Youth Delegation under the management of the Indian government. The Indian High Commission, Dhaka has selected the top 100 candidates from among the lakhs of contestants after a four-stage selection process.
Seven youths were finally selected from Sylhet division. Among them three are from Sylhet district. They are dancer and dance instructor Shahzada Nahian Chowdhury, culture activist and journalist Uttam Kavya and presenter and reciter Jannatul Nazneen Asha.
Writer and researcher Pavita Singha Sagar is from Sunamganj ct. There are two from Moulvibazar district – Social activist and RJ Samrita Pal Oishi and Culture and Social activist Mukta Doshad. Presenter and recitation coach Nahida Kham Surmi is from Habiganj district.
onWednesday (October 12) the entire delegation team including these 7 people will go to New Delhi from Dhaka. They will return home on October 20 after the seven-day tour.
There will be various programs in this tour including meeting with the President or Prime Minister of India, meeting with important persons, visiting sightseeing and historical places.
Before this, a get together with 100 delegates will be held at Hotel Sheraton in Banani of the capital on the invitation of the Indian High Commission, Dhaka on Tuesday evening (October 11). India’s new High Commissioner to Bangladesh Prannoy Kumar Verma will be present in it.
Incidentally, ‘Bangladesh Youth Delegation to India’ was started in 2012 by the wish of the then President of India Pranab Mukherjee to strengthen the bond, faith, brotherhood between Bangladesh and India and to exchange customs and culture. Under this, the country’s high commission takes 100 young people from different fields to visit India every year.
