BRTC prepares ‘open roof bus’ for BD women booters

Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) has prepared an ‘open roof bus’ for the members of Bangladesh Women’s Football team, which clinched the SAFF Women’s Championship title defeating Nepal Women’s Football team by 3-1 goals in the final at Dasharath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal on Monday.
Before winning the prestigious trophy, player of Bangladesh Women’s Football team Sanjida Akhter gave a status on her Facebook. She wrote, ” We need not get a reception with an open roof bus. But those who tease us, we want to give reply by winning the SAFF Women’s Championship trophy. We are bound to play in the green turf to give reply to those eve teasers.”Her status becomes viral and the government authority decided to fulfil her desire by arranging for them an open roof bus. BRTC has arranged an open roof bus to give them reception. The cover of a double-decker bus has been removed for the members of Bangladesh Women’s Football team. The seats of the bus are also removed.
Bangladesh Women’s Football team is scheduled to reach the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1.50pm todays. State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel, MP, high officials of Ministry of Youth and Sports and Bangladesh Football Federation will receive Tigresses, who clinched the SAFF Women’s Championship title. After the airport ceremony, they will ride on the open roof bus and will bring out a joyful rally from the Airport and the rally will come to an end at the BFF House in the city’s Motijheel.
