3 killed in Manikganj

UNB, Manikganj :
Three motorcyclists were killed as a truck crashed into a motorbike on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Golra area of Saturia upazila Sunday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Mamun Hossain, 25, son of Altaf Hossain, a resident of Dhankura village of the upazila, his cousin Hridoy, 22 and Saikat Islam, 28.
Police said, the accident took place in the area around 4 pm when a truck hit a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction, leaving Mamun and Hridoy dead on the spot and Saikat injured. Later, injured Saikat died on way to Dhaka for better treatment.
On information, police recovered the bodies.
Angered by the incident, local people put up barricade on the highway, disrupting traffic movement for an hour.
