One gets punishment for cheating with a businessman

One person was sentenced to suffer imprisonment for two years and 10 months and fined taka eighty lakh by two courts here yesterday for cheating with a local businessman.
Netrakona joint district and session judge (1) Mohammad Saiful Elahi and joint district and session judge (2) Mohammad Shahidul Islam delivered the verdicts in two separate cheating cases.
The court sources said, the convicted person was identified as Delwar Hussain, son of Motiur Rahman Khan, north Satpai of Netrakona district town.
The three cases in brief are that the convicted Delwar issued “three cheques” amounting to taka 80 lakh on Social Islamic Bank Limited (SIBL), Netrakona branch to his business partner Golam Mohiuddin Monu in the years of 2018 and 2019.
