Sholakia attack remembered

Kishoreganj, Administra-tion and district police paid deep homage to the memory of the heroic policemen who sacrificed their lives aginst the militant attack on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr on July 7, 2016 at the check post of the historic Sholakia ground of Kishoreganj.
Additional DIG Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM (Bar) paid deep homage to the memory of the martyrs.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kishoreganj Mohammad Shamim Alam, Zila Parishad Administrator Advocate Zillur Rahman, Awami League (AL) district general secretary &:Special PP Advocate M.A Afzal and Mayor Mahmud Parvez took part in the tribute.
ADC(Education &ICT) Golam Mostafa, Additional SPs Mustaque Sarker, Nure Alam, Anirban Chowdhury (DSB), Al-Amin, Sadar UNO Mohammad Ali Siddique, CAB district president Alam Sarowar Tito, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, Senior Journalist Saiful Haque Mollah Dulu,Sadar OC Mohammad Dhaud and others dignified officials were also present.
At the end, prayers were offered for the souls of the slain policemen and housewife Jharna Bhowmick.
They also visited the residence of Jharna Rani Bhowmick, who was shot in the head during the gunfight and paid homage to the memory..
Police submitted to chargesheet in the sensational case against 24 accused persons. At least 19 accused were killed in gunfights with law enforces in different parts of the country.
