Looting in city Maidservant arrested

Police have arrested the maidservant, who looted gold ornaments, cell phone sets and cash money from a house at the city’s Chawkbazar on Monday night, making nine members of a family unconscious with dope meals.
The maidservant dentified as Shilpi, 30, was arrested from a house in Keraniganj upazila of Dhaka district early Thursday, police said.
Chakbazar Police Station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Jalaluddin said that one Mamata Begum known to them from before brought Shilpi from Keraniganj to them.
On Monday night at 10 pm, Shilpi served them meals. All the family members except two fell sick
having eaten the meals and fell into deep sleep. The next morning, when they awoke, they found Shilpi missing and valuable looted.
