Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has yet again failed to submit its investigation report in the sensational Taqi murder case.
The court of Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Nusrat Sahara Bithi on Thursday held a hearing in the case and scheduled March 22 for the next hearing, reported our Narayanganj correspondent.
During the hearing on Thursday, five accused in the case, who are at present on bail, appeared before the court. They were: Rifat Bin Osman, Sultan Shawkat Bhromor, Yusuf Hossain Liton, Saleh Rahman Shimanto, and Tayebuddin Ahmed Jackie.
“The court has already directed RAB to submit its investigation report in the case, but did not specify any time for the submission. Earlier, Taqi , a brilliant student, went missing after leaving his Shaista Khan Road home for Sudhijon Pathagar, a local library, around 4:00pm on March 6, 2013. On the morning of March 8, his body was found floating on the Shitalakkhya river.
Even though nine years have passed since the murder, Rab is yet to submit the investigation report in the case.
