1st Div Cricket: Orient SC beat Dhaka Wanderers

An unbeaten knock of 80 runs by Imrul Karim guided Orient Sporting Club to beat Dhaka Wanderers Club by 8 wickets in their Dhaka Metropolis First Division Cricket League match at Fatullah Outer Stadium on Saturday.
Replying to Wanderers’ 117 runs, Orient SC scored 119 for 2 in 25.3 overs.
After the early departure of opening batsman Nazim Uddin Sabbir (4) at 15/1 in 3.5 overs, Imrul Karim paired with the other opener Mayenuddin Rubel (31).
Imrul scored the team highest 80 off 63 balls featuring seven fours and five sixes. Earlier, he grabbed three wickets for 14 runs in 10 overs.
Imrul pairing with Rubel contributed 91 runs in 17.2 overs, in the 2nd wicket stand.
Sheikh Rezwan Kabir Siddique and Sayem took one wicket each for 12 and 15 runs respectively.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Wanderers scored 117 for all in 46.1 overs.
Sawpan Kumar Dey (27), Rakesh Pashi (26) and Rayhan Anas (17) were the double digit scorers for their side.
Tareq Aziz grabbed three wickets conceding 19 runs while Al-Amin and Rony Chowdhury took two wickets each for 23 and 24 runs respectively.
