Soumya-Naim join Mushfiq in the Bangladesh ‘A’ team

Three members of the upcoming World T20 squad players have opted to play for the Bangladesh ‘A’ team against the Bangladesh HP (High Performance) team, as Mushfiqur Rahim, Soumya Sarkar, Naim Sheikh, and Rubel Hossain are listed to play for the ‘A’team.
The veteran Bangladeshi batsman Mushfiqur Rahim spent quite a flop series against New Zealand, as the wicket-keeper batsman scored a total of 39 runs in the last5matches, as it’s quite obvious, that he is in need of a certain level of confidence.
Soumya Sarkar on the other hand, had been the player of the series in the last foreign tour of Bangladesh, when the men in green toured Zimbabwe, as after that, Soumya had spent a couple of forgettable series at home, against Australia, and New Zealand.
The Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram has always been considered as a decent wicket to bat, compared to the complex track of the Mirpur wicket, in Dhaka, which may have encouraged these batsmen to have a go at it, before the ICC World T20 venture in Oman.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Test skipper Mominul Haque isn’t able to play in this match due to personal reasons. Another national team player, the fast bowler Abu Zayed Chowdhury Rahi is also unable to play in the match due to physical illness.
