Shakib returns to Test format in Zimbabwe

Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a separate squad for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe with all-rounder Shakib al Hasan returning to Test format. Shakib missed the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka so that he can remain available for the Indian Premier League. ”Getting the best player (Shakib) in three formats is always a plus point and we are hopeful that the team will be morally boosted up by his presence. We are hoping to have a good performance from him,” BCB Chief Selector Minhajul Abadin told reporters on Wednesday. Bangladesh are scheduled to play a Test along with three ODI’s and three T20’s in the tour scheduled from July 7 with all the matches to be hosted in Harare Stadium.
