BD Cricket team’s quarantine period in Zimbabwe may be increased

Chief Executive Officer of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan hinted that Bangladesh Cricket team’s quarantine period in Zimbabwe may be increased. Bangladesh Cricket team have to take a five or seven-day long quarantine period there.
Bangladesh Cricket team will leave Dhaka for Zimbabwe on June 29 to play one Test match, three One Day International (ODI) matches and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against Zimbabwe Cricket team. The final schedule is yet to be finalized.
Due to coronavirus situation, all cricket teams have to take quarantine period.
Sujan said, ” Bangladesh Cricket team have to take five or seven-day quarantine period in
Zimbabwe. If the Team Management of the BCB replaces any player, he will also be in that rule.”
Earlier, Bangladesh Cricket team traveled Sri Lanka and New Zealand recently. Bangladesh Cricket team had to take 14-day quarantine in New Zealand. Bangladesh played three ODI matches and three T20I matches against New Zealand. Bangladesh lost all the matches to the Kiwis. The 14-day quarantine was one of the reason for Bangladesh’s defeat in all the matches.
Bangladesh had to take three-day room quarantine in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh played two-test series against Sri Lanka. The Tigers lost to Sri Lanka in the Test series. The quarantine and many obstacle was one of the cause of Bangladesh’s defeat.
