Dilruba Sathi working with indigenous culture

Entertainment Report :As a popular host, Dilruba Sathi is familiar face to most of the viewers. Besides hosting, she is now working indigenous culture. Twenty years ago, a documentary had been made on indigenous culture by the Anthropology Institute. But this time it has become a necessary task to do some research works in this regard. Besides research, Dilruba Sathi has translated that documentary. Therefore, she is also working in the field level. While talking in this regard Sathi told this correspondent, “Few days ago, I have completed Honours in Bangla literature from Eden College. Now I am doing Masters in this subject. As a part of my research work, I am working with indigenous culture. I have to face different types of new experiences every day. In the meantime, I am also enjoying it.”However, Dilruba Sathi got a five-faction ‘Child World Diary’ after winning as Best Dancer in the district level in Rajbari in 2002. She gifted that prize to Rajbari Public Library. In last Eid, Sathi acted in a play titled Nagmotir Haat under the direction of Masud Chowdhury based on a story written by Rabeya Khatun. This play was telecast on Bangladesh Television. For the last three years Sathi is hosting three TV shows – Citycell Tarokakothon, Gaan-e Gaan-e Sokal Shuru and Walton Ghor-e Ghor-e Gaan-er Utsab – on Channel i.
