Intra-squad practice match BCB Red beat BCB Green

BCB Red beat BCB Green by five wickets in the lone intra-squad practice match between BCB Red led by Tamim Iqbal and BCB Green led by Mahmudullah Riyad at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) Ground on Thursday.
Batting first BCB Green piled up 284 runs for the loss of three wickets in the stipulated 45 overs.
In reply, BCB Red romped home making 285 for the loss of five wickets when they had 24 balls to spare.
Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal hit a marvelous 80 from 58 balls with seven fours and four sixes.
Ace batsman Mushfiqur Rahim remained unbeaten with 64. He struck six fours and two sixes in his 55-ball innings.
Imrul Kayes made 39 from 33 balls.
Mosaddek Hossain hit 26, while Mohammad Saifuddin remained unbeaten with 26.
Mehedi Hasan Miraz scored 27 runs from 24 balls.
Mahmudullah Riyad of BCB Green captured two wickets in the space of 29 runs, while
Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam took one wicket each for 45 and 21 runs respectively.
Earlier, opener Soumya Sarkar of BCB Green notched up a fine 42, while Naim Sheikh, the other opener made 38 runs.
Shakib Al Hasan returned with a style as he hit 28 runs from 20 balls including two fours.
Skipper of BCB Green Mahmudullah Riyad hit a captain’s knock of 62 runs from 54 balls including six fours and two sixes, while Afif Hossain made 64 runs from 54 balls including three sixes and seven fours.
Spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz of BCB Red captured two wickets at the cost of 40 runs, while pacer Shoriful Islam took one wicket for 45 runs.
