Rush for vaccine up

The mass vaccination program has started in the country from the February 7. In the beginning, people were not so much interested as today they are due to various reasons and propaganda.
To overcome the propaganda, the government started peaceful campaigns and the people began to show interests.
Although the number of vaccinations on the first day was less, it has been increasing day by day.
Even on Monday (February 15), the highest number of people in the country received the Corona vaccine.
A total of 2, 26,678 people were vaccinated on this day.
However, according to the report of BBC Bangla Publication, social media Facebook and the University of Maryland jointly conducted a worldwide survey over the vaccination programs recently.
On the report, it has mentioned that about 64% of the people in Bangladesh are interested in getting vaccinated against Coronavirus despite having some fears.
Earlier, in late January, the Institute of Health Economics at Dhaka University released a survey report. It found that about 32 per cent of people were interested in being vaccinated against the Coronavirus.
Initially, there was little interest in getting vaccinated, but later, on February (February 16), BBC Bangla published a report on the reasons of increasing interest. The reasons are- 1. No serious side effects were reported after the vaccination.
2. The government is now giving free vaccines to everyone, but at one stage it might not be free.
3. The number of taking vaccinations is increasing rapidly day by day; many people are getting interest for taking vaccination.
4. Many important public figures have already been vaccinated since the vaccination program began. Many are taking the vaccine observing this.
5. besides, if you want to travel somewhere outside, you may have to show a Corona vaccine certificate, which is why many people are receiving vaccinations.

Meanwhile, the second consignment of Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine will arrive in Bangladesh on 22 February, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited Managing Director and BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon said.
Earlier, a deal with the Serum Institute of India to procure three crore doses of vaccine developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca through Beximco.
Meanwhile, only 426 people have showed some mild side-effects until Sunday, according to data from the Directorate of Health Services.
