200 kgs Hilsa fish seized

The drive against indiscriminate catching of Hilsa fish geared up in Chittagong recently following the prohibition of hilsa catching, selling and stocking of hilsa by the govt from October 5 to 15 next.
 A mobile court consists of District fishery officials, district officials and coast guard conducted raid in Utan Majir ghat of Anowara coast on Friday night and managed to seize about 200 kgs of hilsa fish from a boat.
District fishery oficer Pravati Deb confirm the matter to this correspondent . Coast guard forces seized the fishes and handed over to Fishery department, sources said. Mentionable that govt has prohibited hilsa catching from 5 october last for 11 days.
