‘Ringleader Mala’ provides shelter, legal support to muggers, 24 held

Kohinur Begum alias Mala used to live with her husband in Dhaka’s Mugdapara area. Earlier, she used to pick up vegetable in Karwan Bazer area, but now she is a ring leader one of the mugger ring.
The mugger used to provide shelter as well as preserved the looted things in her house after finished their work. Even the looted goods were shared themselves.
Not only shelter but also Mala provided to the legal support to release the gang member after arrested to the law enforcement agency.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Detective Branch (DB) has busted such gang and arrested 24 including Mala alleged involvements with mugger and dope gang.
They were arrested from different area in Dhaka on Tuesday. Police claimed that they have one more case against each of them.
DB’s Joint Commissioner (JC) Mahbub Alam reviled such kind of information in a press conference on Wednesday noon. He said their different teams have been conducted special raid in different area of Dhaka. A team of Ramna division held nine including Mala while preparing the dacoity in Mugda area on Tuesday.
Mala and her husband were sheltered them and their name come forward after stabbed to death a cable operator in-front of the high court area, he added.
Meanwhile, another team of DB’s Ramna division was conducted raid Dhaka’s Hazaribagh area on Tuesday around 3:30pm and arrested nine dope gang.
