Chawkbazar Jamaat Ameer held

Police arrested a Rokon (full-member) of Port City unit Jamaat-e-Islami from in front of a mazar in Chalkbazar area yesterday morning.
The detainee is Abdul Hannan, 40, also Ameer of Chalkbazar thana unit Jamaat-e-Islami.Bakalia thana officer-in-charge Mohammad Mohsin told that acting on tip off, a team of police took position adjacent to the mazar and arrested Hannan when he arrived there at 1:30am.
OC said, Abdul Hannan was fugitive accused in three cases for attacking police, vandalizing vehicles and sabotage during recent oppositions blockade andhartal program.
