Narcotics Control Dept official held

Police arrested an official of Narcotics Control Department and two of his associates on charge of looting gold by pretending to be members of detective branch of police.
The arrestees are SM Shakib Hossain, assistant director at Munshiganj district office of the Narcotics Control Department, and his associates constable Aminul Islam and source Harun.
Biplob Vijay Talukder, deputy commissioner (Lalbagh Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, confirmed the news of their arrest to the media. On January 7, Shakib, Aminul and Harun went to a gold shop in Zindabahar Lane in Dhaka. In the name of DB, they took the owner of the shop and stole 90 bhoris of gold, reported the media.
On January 12, the victim filed a case with Kotwali Police Station.
Police first arrested two people, including an employee of the shop. Based on their information, the law enforcers arrested Shakib from Old Dhaka on Monday told the media.
