Khalequzzaman turns 71 today

Khalequzzaman is a noted actor and freedom-fighter who took part in the war of independence of Bangladesh under the banner of Mujib Bahini. He started his
acting career through Bangladesh Television’s drama Shorpobhrome Rojju.
In 1975, he was enlisted as an actor in BTV. During that time he acted with Razzak and Kobori in movie Anirban.
He got appreciation for acting in BTV’s dramas Toma, Boro Bari, Somoy Asomoy, Suborno Somoy etc. He also got call from Lucky Enam and Siraj Haider to give direction of theatre plays. Due to his engagement with business and acting,
he could not give direction of theatre plays during that time. But when
he studied in college and university,
he gave direction of plays in theatre.
Khalequzzaman was born in Shantahar. Today he will turn 71. But he has no special plan to celebrate the day. He will pass the day at home. He said,
“I started acting with many hopes. From that love I am still acting. I want
to continue acting till my death. Everybody pray for me as I remain well.” Khalequzzaman is one of the students of drama in the country who received the academic degree in this subject at post-graduation level. He recently got appreciation for acting in drama Boro Chhele.
He also acted in Murad Parvez’s movie Brihonnola, Shihab Shahin’s movie Chhuye Dile Mon and Anom Biswas’ movie Debi. On January 4, he will start shooting of
a drama. Now he is acting in Murad Parvez’s serial Smritir Alpona Anki,
which is being telecasted on ATN Bangla. His wife Sultana Momtaz is
a singer. He is father of a son and
a daughter, the actor also said.
