5 hurt in clash over distribution of VGF by AL leader in Barisal

Atleast five people including three females, one village Chowkidar and a ruling AL leader injured in clash over preventing distribution of Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) at Charbaria union parishad in Barisal city skirt on Saturday noon.
Witnesses said more than one thousand distressed females with distribution slips came to collect rice under VGF scheme arranged by Charbaria UP on occasion of Eid Ul Azha at its office on Saturday noon. Alamgir Hossain, union BNP organising secretary and panel chairman of the union, came there to perform his duty in absence of Ziaul Hasan Sabu, union BNP president and UP chairman.
At that time Sultan Mahmud, local union AL organizing secretary and UP member, coming there closed entrance gate of the union parishad office and his cadres forcibly collecting distribution slips from the females ordered to stop VGF distribution.
