20 rivers marked rise, 59 fall
Water levels in 20 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 59 stations recorded fall.
Among the 83 monitored water level stations, water levels at eight river stations are flowing above respective danger levels and water levels at four monitored river stations have remained steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Monday.
The Karotoa at Chakrahimpur, the Gur at Singra, the Lakhya at Lakhpur, the Surma at Sunamganj, the Kushiyara at Sherpur-Sylhet, the Old Surma at Derai, the Kansha at Jariajanjail and the Titas at Brahmanbaria are flowing above their respective dangers levels by 0 cm, 67 cm, 25 cm, 0 cm, 2 cm, 14 cm, 95 cm, and 1 cm.
All major rivers are in falling trend, the bulletin added.
