Coriander seeds grown in Bangladesh to be used for space research

Coriander seeds grown in Bangladesh are going to the space for research purposes for the first time in country’s history.
The coriander seeds will be taken first to the USA on a cargo plane via Japan in mid-October, says media report.
Mizanul Chowdhury, Chief of Connection Science of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in USA, disclosed the matter. “I learned about the matter on Wednesday. At that moment, I was taking part in a meeting of NASA with Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. This is a big news for Bangladesh,” he said.
“Any day in November, researcher will start journey towards space with coriander seeds,” he added.
The astronauts will conduct research on the seeds. Apart from Bangladesh, coriander seeds are being taken from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand and UAE for space research.
