Fake note detector machines in cattle markets

Fake currency identifying machines will be set up in the cattle markets and the shopping malls across the country ahead of the the Eid-ul-Azha, one of the largest religious festivals of the Muslim community. The Eid will be celebrated on October 6.
At least 42 booths in the capital and 82 in other districts will be installed on the occasion of the Eid.
Police and Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) sources
said that different commercial banks are installing these machines as per direction of the Bangladesh Bank.
Moreover, the central bank with the help of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) will set up 130 forged currency identifying machines in the markets across the country, they added.
The seasonal cattle markets will start in city from October 3 and the traders will be allowed to enter the city with their animals from different parts of the country from October 1, sources said. There will be 18 markets in the capital, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) officials said. DNCC’s Chief Estate Officer MM Mohiuddin Kabir Mahin said that they had taken preparations for setting up seven cattle markets in the northern part of the city.
