Midland Bank’s Saalam Islami Banking Window held: The 3rd meeting of Shariah Supervisory Council of Midland Bank Limited (MDB) was held on Sunday at the banks head office in the city. Chairman of the bank’s Shariah Supervisory Council, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Azad presided over the meeting. Members of the Shariah Supervisory Council Dr. Muhammad Nazrul Islam Al-maruf and NKA Mobin attended. Managing Director and CEO Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, along with senior management of the bank’s Islami Banking Division also attended the meeting, said a press release. Important issues on shariah based banking services, approval of new shariah products and overall business status were discussed in the meeting. It may be mentioned, MDB started offering Shariah based Islamic Banking services titled “Midland Bank Saalam” recently.
