Punishment of Lipi’s killer demanded

A press conference was held at Chittagong Press Club yesterday morning arranged by the family members of Lipi Begum who was murdered by her husband.
 Lipi Begum is the house of Md. Murad of Arefin Nagar under Baizid thana in city. The press meet was told that Lipi Begum was brutally kuilled by strangulation who later hanged with ceiling fan in their residence at Arefin Nagar on August 18 last. The killer along with his other family members escaped from the area after the incident to avoid the arrest. Mother of the victim Runa Begum lodged a GD before the Baizid thana on August 18 last(No.893) dated 18.8.14 which later recorded as UD case(No.30/14) by the police official reasons best known to them. But failing to record as murder case, mother of the deceased filed a CR case before the Metropolitan court in Chittagong on September 11 last accusing four including husband of the deceased, the press meet was told.
Elder brother of Lipi Begum, Azizul Hoque read out the written statement before the newsmen. Among others Md. Solaiman, Md. Saber, Md. Khairul, Azizul Hoque, Mahmuda Begum, Fatema Begum, RunaBegum, Lucky Begum, Rehana Begum on behalf of the deceased were present in the press meet.
