AL candidate violating code of conduct: Rabiul

BNP candidate Sheikh Rabiul Alam has accused the Awami League (AL) candidate Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin of violating the electoral code of conduct in the Dhaka-10 by-election to be held on March 21.
He said this while campaigning election in front
of Zhigatola Gabtala mosque in the capital on Saturday morning.
Rabiul said that the Awami League candidate Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin had made the PVC banner and festoon of the Boat symbol to display in several areas of Dhaka-10 Constituency, breaking the electoral code of conduct.
In addition, he has opened an election campaign office on pavement. Each ward has multiple offices instead of one, in the name of celebrating Mujib Borsha.
Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin has displayed colourful posters, banners and festoons. It is necessary to mention here that the banners and festoons of the boat symbols have been hung up on the gates and arcades constructed in the constituency in the name of Mujib Borsho, he said.
The Sheaf of Paddy candidate has also requested Election Commission (EC) to take necessary steps against violation of lection code of conduct.
