ID cards distributed to fishermen

The identity card distribution progamme among the Rangamati fishermen started at Rangamati Sadar upazila on Monday.
Chairman of Rangamati Sadar upazila parishad Arun Kanti Chakma inaugurated the card distribution programme as the chief guest held at Rangamati Sadar upazila parishad hall room.
Presided over by Rumana Rahman Shompa, upazila nirbahi officer of Rangamati Sadar upazila the programme was addressed among others by vice-chairman of Rangamati Sadar upazila parishad Palash Kusum Chakma and senior upazila fisheries officer Md. Monirul Islam.
Rangamati Sadar upazila fisheries officer informed that out of about 4,500 registered fishermen from Rangamati Sadar upazila 3,500 identity cards will be distributed among the fishermen within September 21.
