4 drug traders held with 3,456 beer cans in city

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Detective Branch (DB) have arrested at least four drug peddlers along with 3,456 beer cans in city’s Suritola area of Bangshal in a drive on Friday.
The detained drug peddlers are identified as Faruque Chowdhury, 40, Mizanur Rahman, 35, Maqsudur Rahman, 19. And Nazmul,26.
Mohammad Fayzur Rahman, (BPM, PPM) Assistant Commissioner of Dhaka South DB police, confirmed the matter and said, “We conducted an anti-drug drive in city’s Suritola area beside a Government Primary School and arrested four accused along with huge beer cans.
During the drive, law enforcers also seized a private car which was used for drug transportation, AC added.
The process of filing a case with concerned police station in this connection is underway, SI of DB police Yakub said.
