Sudakshina, story of a housewife’s achievement within her own premise
Set in the backdrop of a patriarchal Bengali household, Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha’s latest offering Sudakshina tells the story of an ideal housewife, mother, daughter-in-law, aunt and sister-in-law, who gave up on her dreams of becoming a journalist to end up being a homemaker. The family drama, based on a Procheta Gupta story, stars Sreelekha Mitra and Badshah Moitra in the lead.

Married to Prateek, a bright and upwardly man, at the tender age of 20, Sudakshina developed a passion for collecting sarees to keep herself from drowning in the monotony of everyday routine.
Prateek and his family soon started getting offended by her obsession for sarees and made it the butt of all ridicule, but Sudakshina’s love wasresolute. A sudden encounter with an old friend, Anirban, brought the ambitious Sudakshina alive in her again, and twists and turns led her to write a story of an astounding achievement that inspired all.
