2 held on charge of gang rape in Savar

Law enforcers arrested two cousins of the savar rape victim from Namgonda Mollapara area of Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka.
The accused were identified as Shimul, 20, and Jewel, 19. Both are the relatives of the victim.
The alleged raped incident happened in Mollahpara area under Savar municipality on Wednesday night.
The victim’s husband filed a case with Savar Police Station at that night, but arrest was made on Thursday morning (December 19).
Tahmidul, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Savar Model Police Station, told media that the victim was sent to one stop crisis corner of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for medical test. The accused will be produced in court.”
Quoting the local sources Police said Shimul and Jewel forced the victim away from street. They raped her at one of the rapist’s houses and threatened to kill her in case of disclosure the matter.
