Missing girl found dead in B. Baria

Police recovered the body of a minor girl, who had been missing since Monday night, has been found after 20 hours at Kuttapara village of Sarail upazila in Brahmanbaria.
Police also assumed that the girl might have been raped and later murdered.
The victim was identified as Joynab Begum, 10, a student of class IV of West Kuttapara Government Primary School
and daughter of one Abdul Hafiz of the village.
Family sources said that, she had gone out of her house around 8:00pm to visit neighboring house on Tuesday and remained missing since then.
Shahadat Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Sarail Police Station confirmed the news to the media that locals spotted the girl’s body at bamboo cluster adjacent to the house of one Isa Mia in the afternoon and informed the police. Victim’s body bore several injury marks and it is suspected that the girl was killed after rape, OC added.
The body was sent to a local hospital morgue for autopsy.
