ACC to prosecute 2 Teletalk officials
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday took the decision to file a case against former two officials of Teletalk Bangladesh Limited (TBL) on charge of embezzling about Tk 10 crore.
The Commission in its regular meeting gave the
approval, said Public Relation Officer (PRO). He added that the case might be registered soon. The alleged accused are as S M Tareque Rahman, former Assistant Manager (System Operation), and Sabibur Rahman Shiplu, former Assistant Manager (Market Development), of the TBL.
They in collaboration with each other plundered the money of the TBL through forgery between 2010 and 2011 and laundered abroad.
As the Commission found the evidence of the irregularities, it approved the case under Money Laundering Prevention Act-2009 and 2012, Section 4(2) and 4(2), (3).
