Policy over casting foreign model in local products soon: Dr Hasan
Information Minister Hasan Mahmud on Wednesday said that the government would introduce new law on casting foreign models in locally made products.
We have seen that businessmen of our country are
cast to make visual advertisements with second class foreign models. Such practices hampered our dignity and our models and crews were dishonoured,” said the minister.
He said, a policy will be taken soon on the issue, exchanging views and opinions with the experts.
The minister said also that the government by this time prohibited advertisements of local products on foreign televisions.
He said the government had not closed any foreign TV channel so far, and has no such intention.
Association for Television Channel Owners (ATCO) President, MD of Masranga TV, Anjan Chowdhury Pintu, DBC Chairman Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Managing Director of Channel 24 AK Azad, 71 Television MD Muzammel Babu, RTV Managing Director Morshed Alam and others were present.
