Two held with counterfeit currency

Two persons have been handed over to the police with Tk 5,000 counterfeit currencies by locals in Chittagong on Friday .
They have been identified as Sohel Khan Milton, 35 and Sheikh Azmir, 21.
Bakalia police Sub-Inspector Sujon Barua said locals nabbed the duo from Chairman Ghata on Saturday when they were shopping from a store with the forged banknotes.
“Five counterfeit notes of Tk 1000 denomination have been seized from them,” he said.
