Water Bus to be introduced from June next

Managing Director of Western Marine Shipyard Ltd Engr. Md. Shakawat Hossain said water bus in Karnaphuli river will be introduced first ever in the port city from next june. The service will be introduced from Airport to /Sadarghat terminal within the span of 30 minutes time. Following continued traffic congestion n the port city, about 2 hours require to reach Airport from main city .
 He disclosed it while addressing the annual picnic sea cruise arranged by Chattogram University Journalist Association on Saturday as chief guest.
Western Marine MD also said since inception of the dockyard, a total of146 vessels were built of which 32 vessels were exported to 12 foreign countries. Managing Director of RSRM Mizanur Rahman and Managng Director of Western Marine service Engr. Fazle Rashid were present in it as special guests. Among others, Chairman of Journalism Deptt of CU Abul Kalam Azad, Associate Professor Madab Chandra Das, Asstt. Professor Sudipta Sharma and Saima Alam, President of Alumni Association & general secrestry Hamidullah were present on the occasion.
