Hannan made B’desh HC to UK

The government has appointed M Abdul Hannan, currently serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to Switzerland and Permanent Representative to the UN Offices in Geneva and Vienna, as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the United Kingdom (UK).A career diplomat, Hannan is a member of the 1984 batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre, a foreign ministry release said here on Sunday.In his distinguished diplomatic career, Hannan, besides his present assignment has pursued ambassadorship in Oman. He also served in Bangladesh Missions in Karachi, Ottawa, Kolkata and Moscow in various capacities.Abdul Hannan obtained MSS degree in Economics from Chittagong University. He also achieved a Master of Arts in Diplomacy from the University of Lancaster, UK.He is married and blessed with two sons.
