Friendship through social media :
Social media should be looked up on as a tool to keep in touch with friends we have known and have met. It is social media that brings most of us together these days. Our day actually begins and ends with the phone. But why have we forgotten the real people in our lives? And why do we make friends with people we have not met even once? Are such friendships worthy? I have realised that they are not. In such friendships, there are no qualms about telling lies.
There have been cases of people misunderstanding comments and responding rudely. I asked one of my ‘virtual friends’ for some help and he posted a message on his timeline asking his online friends not to ask for help. It is difficult to judge people if we have not met them. We know it is not possible to judge a person from his or her profile.
Social media should be looked up on as a tool to keep in touch with friends we have known and have met. It helps us connect with our school and college friends which brings back pleasant memories.
