Selling of advance rail tickets begins

Selling of advance rail tickets launched in Chittagong Railway station from yesterday on the occasion of coming Eid festival . The advance ticket sales program begins from 9 am yesterday .
 Station Manager of Chittagong Abul Kalam told that 3650 tickets will be sold out for first day of July 24 next and no advance standing tickets will be issued. Sources said standing tickets will issued on journey day only.
While witnessing the ticket counter, it was found that long queues of intending passengers are receiving tickets peacefully. The home going commuters told this correspondent that they are waiting for tickets in queue from midnight. Some of the commuters told that they completed their sehri food in the station but they are so glad after receiving the tickets.
A student of Pahartali Degree college Amirul Islam complained that a syndicate of ticket blackers are procuring tickets with the gang of 10-12 persons in the first queue of each counter.
The sales of advance tickets will remain inforce from July 20 to 24 next. Railway station manager sources said the tickets for journey of July 24 , July 25, July 26, July 27, and July 28 will be sold on July 20, July 21, July 22, July 23 and July 24 respectively.
 These advance tickets will be sold for mail and intercity trains viz. Dhaka Mail, Turna Nishita, Udayan, Paharika, Pravati, Meghna, Chattala Express, Meghna express, Mohanagar Godhuli through 7 counters of the new station . One person is allowed to procure not more than 4 tickets.
While as ked about the black marketers of tickets, station manager told that they have deployed additional law enforcers and installed the CCTV to watch the blackers and there is no scope of ticket black marketing.
He further said commuters are being checked before leaving the ticket counter whether they are collected more than 4 tickets.
 Railway police super of East Zone Nazrul Islam told that to avoid the unfairmeans and irregularities in the ticket counters, additional forces have been deployed in the station and we are watching the selling proceeding instantly.
