Speaking about the deal, Fahad M A Karim, CEO of K-Sports, said, “Walton is an international brand and it’s reputation spread beyond the borders of the country. They have been with cricket in home and abroad for long time. We are happy to have Walton with us for a two-year home series contract. We would like to jointly work for Bangladesh cricket.”
Uday Hakim, Deputy Executive Director of Walton, said Walton is the proud sponsor in almost all major events of domestic cricket in Bangladesh. The first series will start with Zimbabwe on Sunday followed by West Indies who will play next month. Afghanistan will arrive in September next year. Australia is scheduled to play two series, one in February and another in March next year. However, the two series might merge into one.
