Jaya, Chanchal’s Debi releases today
Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Popular actress Jaya Ahsan produced and Anam Biswas directed government-grant movie Debi, based on Humayun Ahmed’s novel, is going to release today in 29 cinema halls across the country. For the last one month Jaya took various campaign programmes to promote the movie among all. As a result, viewers are waiting to enjoy the movie on the screen now.
While sharing her feelings about releasing Debi Jaya Ahsan told this correspondent, “It is really painful to lose Bachchu Bhai. He was supposed to enjoy the movie in cinema hall with me. Few days ago, he inspired me for the movie. But he is no more now. However, Ranu character was a challenging role for me. I have to give huge effort to make the character perfect. It is also true that Anam Biswas’ Ranu is different from Humayun Ahmed’s Ranu. It is an adapted role. Viewers will give their judgment after watching the film. I am grateful to Chanchal Chowdhury, Shabnam Faria, Animesh Aich, Eresh Zaker-Tara who have co-operated me lot while making this film. I strongly believe that it is very much necessary to promote any movie to reach into the people.”
Chanchal said, “At first, I pray for the salvation of departed soul of Ayub Bachchhu Bhai. I hope viewers will enjoy Debi in cinema halls. They should not wait for Youtube publicity of the movie. Right now it is really difficult to make any movie. Jaya Ahsan has made the movie industriously and also invested huge money. So, we should come forward to go to halls to enjoy the film. Otherwise, her effort cannot become successful. Anam Biswas gave his best to make the movie. I believe the movie will be enjoyed by the viewers obviously.”
Jaya also said that she will be present in morning show of Debi at Balaka cinema hall and later in the Bashundhara Cineplex.
