Najmul, Litton demand justice for Ramisa
Bangladesh Test Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto has called for justice in the brutal murder of a seven-year-old girl in the capital’s Pallabi after the rape.
A post about this was made on Thursday from Najmul’s verified Facebook page.
A sketch of the child was posted with the caption, “We want a society where every child can laugh safely; grow up with dreams, not fear. No more… lives should stop like this.
May Allah grant her Jannatul Firdous, and must the guilty be punished in a way that serves as an example to society.”
Mushfiqur Rahim, the first Bangladeshi cricketer to play 100 Tests, also took to Facebook to demand justice for the brutal incident.
A graphic image was posted from his verified page. The image was captioned, “We want justice for….”
The caption of the post reads, “Shocked to hear the news yesterday morning.
A little one…should have been given safety, love and shelter…not such a terrible cruelty. I demand a swift and exemplary trial for this innocent child.
No family should have to endure such suffering. Crimes against children should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.”
“As a father of a daughter…it is very worrying and heartbreaking to hear the news.
Such an incident cannot be accepted in any society,” reads a post on Bangladesh’s T20 Captain Litton Das’ verified Facebook page.
Our children deserve a safe world, where they can grow up without fear.
Any injustice must be brought to justice…and in cases like this, justice must be done immediately.
As we stand united in demanding justice for…let us say it loud and clear that such crimes deserve the harshest punishment. We never want to see such tragedies repeated.
BCB Ad Hoc Committee Chairman Tamim Iqbal has also demanded justice for the incident.
Tamim’s verified Facebook page posted a graphic picture with the words, “…I want justice.”
