BIU welcomes freshers’ of Summer, Fall Semester

Bangladesh Islami University (BIU) accorded a reception to the newly admitted students of Summer and Fall Semester 2018 on the permanent campus at Green Model Town in the city on Thursday. A total of 800 students get enrolled in four disciplines in the semesters.
Saber Hossain Chowdhury, MP, attended the programme as chief guest while chairman of BIU Board of Trustees Prof Kamaluddin Abdullah Zafree presided over the reception.
Saber Hossain Chowdhury, the former president of Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU), urged for materializing the economic prospects of the country saying that we need more and more graduates who would be adorned with knowledge, morality, state-of-the art technology and a vision.
Prof Zafree said the university offers low-cost tuition fees against quality higher education in the heart of the capital city and contribute the nation by providing quality manpower. The programme was also attended by Prof Sher Mohammad, Vice Chancellor; Prof Md Yourself, Registrar; Prof ANM Rafiqur Rahman, Vice Chairman of BoT; Syed Shahidul Bari, Member Secretary of BoT; Prof Arshad Ali Matubber, Dean of Business Studies; and Prof ABM Mahabubul Islam, Dean of Law. The newly admitted students, their parents, guardians, members of the faculty and management were present on the occasion.
