BAU signs MoU with TSU, USA

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) and Tennessee State University (TSU) USA was signed on Wednesday at a simple ceremony at the conference room of BAU International guest house.
President of Tennessee State University Dr Gglenda Glover, and Vice-Chancellor of BAU Prof Dr Md Rafiqul Hoque signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
Prof Dr Surendra P Singh Head of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences of TSU, USA and Director of International Food and Agriculture Development of TSU, USA , Sammy Comer, Director of Bangladesh Agricultural University Research System (BAURES), Prof Dr Lutful Hasan, Senior professor Department of Agricultural Extension Education of BAU Dr Md Abdul Momen Miah, Program coordinator and Associate professor Department of Horticulture of BAU Dr Md Ashraful Islam, Associate professor Department of Agricultural Chemistry of BAU Dr Quazi Forhad Quadir, Assistant Director, Public Relations and Publications of BAU Krishibid Din Mohammed Dinu were present on the occasion.
Vice-chancellor BAU Prof Dr Md Rafiqul Hoque well come the team at BAU International guest house and explain the background of establishment of BAU and its role in national development.
The main purpose of MoU is to strengthening academic and international and educational interest, and in the sprit of cooperative activities in various field of education within both institutions.
BAU and TSU seek to beneficial informational exchange and collaboration in international research and training activities in agricultural sciences. Besides Academic exchange, Collaborative research, Short term and long term training, Internships, Workshops, seminars, conferences, online and distance learning courses are the prime objective of this MoU.
Finally VC of BAU thanked the team members of Tennessee State University , USA and took part in the discussion session.
